Job description
As a CNC Machinist at Baker Hughes, you will play a vital role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality product delivery within the completions and well intervention product group. You will independently operate CNC equipment, interpret technical documents, and maintain adherence to strict machining standards to deliver reliable, high-performance parts. The role offers exposure to medium to high-risk applications in the energy sector, contributing to global projects with cutting-edge technologies and processes.

Key responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances
- Apply basic algebra and geometry concepts
- Use general hand tools and precision measuring equipment
- Set up and operate special purpose equipment, conventional lathe and/or mill, and numerical control machines
- Fabricate metallic and non-metallic parts to meet high-quality machine standards
- Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining
- Adjust machine controls as required
- Independently operate CNC equipment
Experience & skills
- Diploma in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited institution
- 2 to 6 years of experience in a CNC machining role
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Basic computer usage skills
