Job description
As a Regional Program Manager for Googleās Cable Landing Stations Build team, you will lead complex, multidisciplinary technical infrastructure projects throughout the region. This includes managing site selection, land due diligence, permitting, vendor qualification, and infrastructure execution. You will be responsible for identifying risks, managing schedules, and interfacing with stakeholders across engineering, construction, real estate, and finance. This role requires deep technical knowledge of data center systems, construction programs, and end-to-end infrastructure deployment from design to commissioning, especially in mission-critical environments.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Support land due diligence and acquisition to gain early understanding of site-related project cost and schedule risks.
- Demonstrate expertise in end-to-end construction program management including interface, schedule, cost, and contracts.
- Support design development to generate early pre-construction deliverables.
- Lead region-specific proactive vendor bench development, pre-qualification, and contract execution models.
- Execute regional proactive permitting and site development works to de-risk critical path activities and pre-position infrastructure.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in mission-critical facilities such as data centers or chip fabrication.
- 5 years of experience in design-build or real estate development environments.
- 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
- 2 years of experience in program or project management.
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field (preferred).
- Experience in design, construction, and commissioning of facilities with electrical distribution systems and SCADA tools.
- Experience with data center equipment and environments including power, cooling, and safety systems.
- Ability to collaborate and manage without authority in a matrixed team environment.
