Job description
The Talent Acquisition Specialist - Physicians is responsible for executing end-to-end recruitment processes specifically for physician roles at American Hospital Dubai. This includes sourcing candidates, posting jobs, conducting initial screenings, coordinating interviews, managing documentation, and onboarding selected candidates. The role demands familiarity with UAE healthcare hiring regulations, especially DHA requirements, and the use of various online recruitment tools. The specialist also supports audits, recruitment campaigns, and internal coordination while ensuring a smooth and professional experience for candidates throughout the recruitment cycle.

Key responsibilities
- Sends interview reminders to the candidate and the concerned department head.
- Coordinates and participates in interviewing and selection of staff.
- Ensures that requests are raised on iFusion and that all the interview sheets are filled.
- Prepares job offer documents, updates records, clarifies queries, and facilitates the entry process of new employees.
- Releases offer and briefs candidates about the process of pre-employment medicals and the DHA process for clinical staff.
- Ensures all required information and documentation are provided to the selected candidate.
- Hands over the file to the onboarding team.
- Provides necessary justification for difficult-to-place vacancies in case of any salary deviations.
- Follows up on documentation and answers candidates' queries and concerns.
- Provides a list of new joiners to our HR training department and enrolls their names for Hospital Orientation.
- Provides monthly reports to the Recruitment Manager - Physician, highlighting any areas of concern.
- Ensures the time taken to recruit is as per the benchmark.
- Takes ownership of each recruitment drive, providing high-quality candidates that meet the essential criteria for the role.
- Ensures that all advertisements and campaigns, as well as job postings on both internal and external websites and other job portals, are professionally drafted to meet the job criteria.
- Supports colleagues in obtaining applicant profiles, continually sharing candidates to senior recruiters, based on current vacancies, whereby the profiles meet the criteria of other roles.
- Ensures all required information and documentation are provided to the selected candidate.
- Communicates with candidates, ensuring required paperwork is returned and contractual issues are understood.
- Liaises with department directors/heads to identify specific recruitment and selection requirements regularly.
- Participates in Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) related audits.
- Exhibits professional conduct, communication and presentation at all times to continually promote the organisation, ensuring candidates are given the best impression of the organisation to drive American Hospital Dubai forward as an employer of choice.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās Degree in Human Resources, Psychology or related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a recruitment role in the UAE, in the healthcare industry.
- Knowledge of administrative procedures to consistently produce high-quality, organised work.
- Skills in using LinkedIn Recruiter, GulfTalent, Bayt, Naukrigulf, and international medical recruitment platforms.
- Skills in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and Email systems.
- Ability to exercise initiative and manage assigned tasks independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to speak and write in English fluently.
