Job description
Wipro is seeking a Lead Administrator - L2 to provide significant technical expertise in architecture planning, system design, and day-to-day operations of a designated technology tower (platform, database, middleware, backup, etc.). The role involves managing new project installations, upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery plans while leveraging emerging technology features for optimal system functionality. Additionally, the position includes team management responsibilities such as staffing, training, performance reviews, and employee engagement, ensuring continuous operational efficiency and strategic service improvements.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Provide support in architecture planning, migration and installation for new projects within the designated tower.
- Lead the structural/architectural design of platform/middleware/database/backup solutions as per system requirements.
- Conduct technology capacity planning and leverage new features to ensure smooth operations.
- Implement disaster recovery, backup, and recovery plans.
- Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes.
- Manage system upgrades, migrations, maintenance, and configurations.
- Monitor and improve performance, update SOPs and technical documents.
- Create status reports and develop service improvement plans via automation and optimization.
- Forecast talent needs, hire, and onboard resources.
- Manage team performance through reviews and training.
- Promote diversity, engagement, and recognition within the team.
Experience & skills
- Mandatory skills: Oracle Database Admin.
- 8ā10 years of experience in platform/database/middleware/backup management.
- Experience in system architecture design and operations management.
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery planning.
- Proficiency in system troubleshooting and performance tuning.
- Strong team management, resource planning, and employee engagement skills.
- Ability to develop SOPs, operational manuals, and test plans.
- Experience in developing service improvement plans and leveraging automation.
