Job description
A large bank in Saudi Arabia is looking for a Senior Murex Business Analyst specialized in accounting for a greenfield Murex implementation project. The role will focus on Back Office and Accounting configurations and will involve collaborating with users, gathering requirements, implementing accounting rules in Murex, testing, and ensuring high-quality deliverables. The candidate will be part of the Murex Back Office change team and will contribute to ongoing projects and enhancements across various financial product lines, including FX, Money Market, Fixed Income, and Derivatives.

Key responsibilities
- Act as a stream member in the Murex BO change team.
- Participate in various changes and projects related to Murex accounting.
- Engage users to gather, capture, and document accounting treatments for financial products.
- Analyze requirements and assess feasibility of implementation in Murex.
- Design and configure accounting rules including account setups, filters, and formulas.
- Participate in finance-related projects and initiatives.
- Perform testing, capture output, and document results thoroughly.
- Reconcile expected vs. actual test results and identify discrepancies.
- Escalate issues and assess potential workarounds or alternatives.
- Ensure documentation and deliverables align with defined project standards.
- Suggest efficient and scalable alternatives for configuration and maintenance.
Experience & skills
- 8ā10 years of relevant Murex experience focused on Back Office and Accounting.
- Strong understanding of journal posting concepts and accounting balances.
- In-depth knowledge of trade life cycle and how events are handled in Murex for products like FX, MM, FI, Equities, FXD, IRD.
- Hands-on experience with setting up accounting rules, accounts, filters, and formulas in Murex.
- Experience with Murex accounting configuration setup and EOD processes.
- Expertise in the Liquidation Module of Murex Accounting.
- Good understanding of Back Office functions such as trade event handling, confirmation, settlement, fixing, netting, SSI, OSP, and SWIFT messaging.
- Proficiency in Murex post-trade workflow processing.
