About the role

The Technical Lead will be responsible to spearhead the development and optimization of our ecommerce platform. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical expertise and leadership abilities to drive innovation, improve IT processes, and oversee a high-performing team. This role demands a deep understanding of API integration, deployment strategies, and the ability to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions

Responsibilities

Technical Leadership
Define and execute the technical vision for the ecommerce platform.
Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing guidance and support.
Oversee all technical aspects of the ecommerce platform, including architecture, design, and development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Differentiate and correlate technical requirements between operations, customer service, and logistics teams
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Solution Development and Improvement
Integration between new solutions, Warehouse Management System (WMS), and third party solutions
Design, develop, and implement scalable and efficient ecommerce solutions.
Optimize existing systems for performance, reliability, and scalability.
Identify opportunities to improve IT processes and implement best practices.
Analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
API and Deployment Management
Define API requirements and standards.
Oversee API integration and management.
Develop and implement deployment strategies and processes.
Ensure smooth and efficient deployment of ecommerce applications.
Team Management
Hire, train, and develop technical team members.
Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback.
Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines

Requirements

Your Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology
IT Certifications an advantage
Minimum 10 years' experience in business analysis and solutions development preferably with solid understanding of logistics/supply chain/freight e-commerce
Experience in Agile/Scrum environment an advantage.
Your Proficiencies:
Technical Competencies:
In-depth knowledge of ecommerce platforms, technologies, and industry best practices.
Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
Strong understanding of database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies
UX Design knowledge and experience
Working knowledge of Oracle Commerce or any comparable commerce platforms such as SAP Hybris/IBM Commerce/Ebay Magento
Experience in integration with other E-commerce ecosystem components including PIM, OMS, CRM, CMS, BI/Web analytics, Price/Payment/Loyalty Management Systems, Customer Service Center, Search Engine Optimization
Web server management tools, web development tools (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax, JQuery, Dreamweaver, Visual Studio .net, etc.), database management (MySQL, MSSQL), networking & security (HTTPS, HTTP and FTP, SSL, TLS)
