About the role
We are seeking a Demand Planner to support brand managers by analyzing historical sales data, forecasting demand, and ensuring seamless inventory management. This role involves closely monitoring sales performance, coordinating with the warehouse team for stock updates, managing purchase orders, and collaborating with logistics to ensure timely shipments. The ideal candidate will also work with the sales team to address slow-moving products and mitigate risks to optimize inventory flow and prevent stockouts.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with all brand Managers, providing them with all historical data for all brands, SKU level, and baseline Forecast based on Average sales and activation plans.
- Monitor closely the sales movement and alarm sales team on the performance on a weekly basis.
- Coordinate with warehouse team to confirm that all Containers GRNs are posted in the system.
- Coordinate with warehouse team to get the updated aging report.
- Run the open POs list and keep it ready to plan for future orders.
- Complete the Demand plan calculation for all brands and place orders accordingly.
- Ensure all POs are created in the system, released, and shared with our suppliers.
- Share the confirmed orders with our logistics administrator who will coordinate with our supplier and shipping lines to verify the documents and agree on the delivery plan.
- Ensure all containers arrive on time to avoid an OOS situation.
- Follow up daily / weekly with sales team to push the slow moving / NPDs and come up with a risk mitigation plan (Prepone / Postpone shipments).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- at least 3 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or a related field in FMCG industry in UAE
- Familiarity with demand forecasting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or advanced Excel functions) is a plus.
- Understanding of inventory management and supply chain processes.
